Over one fourth of the student population at Cal has signed up for the Hooked app within the first two months. 45 Berkeley restaurants including Koja Kitchen, Blondie's, Kips, and more, utilize the Hooked platform to advertise to nearby customers and drive sales during targeted times of the day. Cal has become one of our fastest growing markets in the U.S., and has been referred to as the Best App to Hit Berkeley’s Campus.
“I believe that restaurants have been so receptive to Hooked because the food scene is huge here, and Hooked is an amazing tool to drive business. Restaurants love how they can host a marketing event and get hundreds of new faces in the door within just a few short hours,” - Berkeley’s Market Manager, Courtney Gielow.
Megan Gray, a campus marketer for Hooked, commented that “users get hooked on the app because most students have one thing in common: a budget. Using the app is a great way to justify eating out, and there are so many popular spots on Hooked that it’s almost irresistible.”
Hooked has repeatedly demonstrated its ability to captivate the student population at dozens of top universities in the U.S.. We look forward to continuing our aggressive expansion, nationwide.
